Dates for the 40th edition have not been announced yet. The mela normally runs for about two weeks in the first half of February: the 2026 edition ran from 31 January to 15 February, and 2025 from 7 to 23 February. We will update this post when Haryana Tourism confirms the 2027 dates.
What it is
An open-air crafts and folk-culture fair held every year since 1987 at the Surajkund Mela Grounds in Faridabad, organised by the Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism with central ministries. Artisans from across India and partner countries sell handlooms and handicrafts, with daily folk performances and regional food. Each edition has a partner nation and theme states.
Who visits
Families and tourists, craft and home-decor buyers, handloom and sustainable-fashion brands, culture lovers and international visitors. Weekends are by far the busiest.
For brands
- Best for brands with a heritage, craft, sustainability or regional-food story.
- Co-branded artisan collaborations, a sponsored stage or cultural evening, or a pop-up that tells the craft's story.
- Plan staffing and sampling around the weekend crowds.
Showdeck produces cultural festivals and melas, including stages, sound and crew.
